Last Weekend of September in Bend

If you are looking for something to do this weekend in Central Oregon, fear not.  There is never a shortage of events and concerts in this area.  This weekend I am highlighting three of the larger events happening in Sunriver, Bend and Sisters.  There is a link to each even provided for more details.  Have a great weekend!

The Sunriver Festival of Cars:  I have attended this car show in the past and really enjoyed it.  Some of the cars that roll into this show are rare and unique.  Cars that you won’t see rolling down the expressway on a regular basis.  They are expecting over 200 cars to be parked on the Meadows Golf Course Driving Range from 10 am to 3 pm Saturday, Sept. 24.  If you enjoy cars I definitely recommend stopping by.

Bend Oktoberfest:  This celebration of all things German (at least the beer and food) is held in downtown Bend on Minnesota Avenue between Bond and Wall.  Raise your stein, enjoy a brat with kraut, sing and dance with the band and laugh at the wiener dog races.  There are also bouncy houses and face painting for kids.  Check out the schedule of events here.

Sisters Fresh Hops Festival:  I’m not sure how this works but the website says they will be picking and brewing the hops on the same day, presumably Saturday the 24th.  There will be breweries from all over the Pacific Northwest participating in this event which runs from noon to 9 pm at Village Green Park in Sisters.  Fresh beer in Sisters?  Sounds good to me.
