August home sales numbers for Deschutes County are out and I’m grumpy. Not because of the numbers but because I wrote a great post and managed to delete it. I hate it when that happens. So, this month you get the short version like the weather guy in those Subaru commercials.
The short of it is that inventory is falling (by 625 homes since August 2010) and demand is holding steady. That means that average price per square foot will rise and has been rising since April ($107 to $120). There are still plenty of great deals on homes in Central Oregon.
