Bend Winterfest 2012

We weren’t able to get down to Winterfest until about 6:30 last night which didn’t give us a whole lot of time to walk around and see and do all there is to do.  However, we did get to see some really cool ice sculptures like the one on the left.  Those people are able to do some amazing things.  The good news for them is that the temperature was about 28° last night so they didn’t have to worry about their sculptures melting which was apparently an issue on Friday night.

The main attractions for us this year were the U.S. Cellular Rail Jam and the live music.  I got some video of the Rail Jam but it isn’t very good so I won’t be sharing that in this post.  If you would like to see some good video you can check out this post that has video shot by someone with better equipment and a better vantage point.

I did manage to get some decent video of Mosley Wotta who put on a great show, as usual.  I always feel bad for the musicians on nights as cold as last night was.  Keeping the fingers warm and limber can be pretty challenging.
